Pastoral visit to Sebauh 2019

On Saturday 23rd March 2019, Right Reverend Bishop Richard Ng and Fr. Basil Entili celebrated sunset Iban Mass with 150 parishioners at Rumah Kujat, Sebauh a 17 doors Iban longhouse 100% Catholics.

Tuai kampung Kujat Ak Usee and the community welcomed Bishop and Fr. Basil performing the traditional Iban music and dance upon arrival marching through the corridor of the newly constructed concrete longhouse. Rumah Kujat is 12 km away from Gereja St George.

On Sunday 24th March 2019, His Lordship Bishop and Fr. Basil Entili celebrated 8am Iban Mass with some 400 parishioners at Gereja St George, Sebauh.

Reverend Fr. Basil Entili is the Rector for St George parish serving 23 longhouses majority Iban community. Many young Catholics are working and living outside Sebauh district.

The journey by road Miri to Gereja St George, Sebauh registered 195.6 km driving through the coastal road. Total distance recorded 420 km returning to Miri via the old Miri-Bintulu road.
