Pastoral visit to Marudi Parish 21st to 22nd April 2018.

The blessing of the new chapel St Basil (Gerija Sante Basil) took place on Saturday 21st April 2018 at Rumah Gudang, Marudi where Right Reverend Bishop Richard Ng and Fr. Michael Sia celebrated sunset mass with some 230 parishioners. Rumah Gudang is a 60 doors Iban longhouse where 20 doors are catholics. St Basil chapel started construction in April 2016 and the project was built by the longhouse Gotong Royong community themselves.

On Sunday 22nd April 2018 Right Reverend Bishop Richard Ng and Fr. Michael Sia celebrated the feast of the Good Shepherd and Vocation Sunday at Good Shepherd's Church, Marudi.

Marudi missionary is over one hundred years old started by the early Milhill missionary who first planted the seed of faith. Today we continue the challenge spreading the catholic faith and grow in strength following the good work carried out by the missionary Good Shepherds over one hundred years ago.
